Grocery Store Shoppers.  Here is an easy way for you to earn money for the boys' tennis team.  Make A Difference Club (MADC) is a BHS parent-run club that raises money for the BHS faculty.  We sell $10 reloadable grocery certificates (plastic gift cards) from Safeway and King Soopers stores.  After purchasing a grocery certificate, you reload them at the customer service desks or at the checkout stands of one of these stores.  Every time you reload, MADC receives 5% of your reload amount.  You may reload up to $500 on a card.  If you specify boys' tennis as the organization that you would like to support, let us know and the team will receive 2½ % of your profit.  For more information please contact, Lisa Lesniak, at grocery.cert.ljl@gmail.com.

Monday - Friday,  August 6 - 10 Saturday,  August 11, make-up day 9 - 11 am at Centennial Middle School courts	Boulder High School Tennis Camp The Boulder High Tennis camp will be the week of August 6 thru August 10.  We will meet at 9 am every day during the week with Saturday a make-up day in case of a rain-out.  The camp is a two hour camp daily (9 am to 11 am) at Centennial Middle School Courts.  Registration will begin at 8 am at the Centennial Courts, August 6th.   We will conclude the week with a tournament for all of the camp participants.  They will be playing against players with similar skills.  The cost for camp is $120.00 for the week.  Make your check out to Gale Howard.   If you want to mail your check prior to registration, mail it to 4281 Vinca Court, Boulder, CO 80304.  This camp is designed to get everyone evaluated and prepared for try-outs which start the following Monday for the boys.  All new players will go through an extensive evaluation where we will assess and grade all of their tennis skills.  Each parent will receive an evaluation sheet following the camp.  We stress conditioning at this camp to make sure everyone is prepared for challenge matches, which start the following week for the boys. This year we will have an outstanding staff headed up by the Boulder High School coaching staff.  We are very excited to meet all new incoming freshmen and all of our returning players. Wednesday - Friday,  August 9 - 10 Location and time TBA.	Fall Sports Registration You must turn in your registration form, pay the athletic fee of $185, and have your physical completed and the physical form with you before you can get a receipt.  Retain your receipt.  You will need it on the first day of practice and tryouts to give to your coaches to show proof of registration.  No registration will be permitted after March 8th.
Monday - Thursday,  Aug. 13 - Aug. 23 BHS and Centennial courts	Practice Last year's Varsity 1 team will report to the BHS tennis courts at 3:30 pm.  All others will report to Centennial Middle School courts by 3:45 pm.  The No. 524 school bus will take players to Centennial after school. The bus leaves from 17th Street at 3:40 pm.  Boys must arrange for their own transportation home after practice.  Practice will last until 5:30 pm.

Saturday,  August 18 BHS Recht Field, 12:30 - 4 pm	Fall Sports Jamboree There will be food served at 12:30.  All Parents are welcome.  You will get to see all of the kids playing fall sports.  The Varsity 1 will have their pictures taken at 2:30 on the football field.   They should wear appropriate clothing for the pictures.

Wednesday,  August 29 6 pm, BHS Cafeteria	Tennis Information Night This is a mandatory meeting for the parents of boys who are playing tennis at BHS this year.  Come meet the coaches.  We will provide pizza since it's during the dinner hour.  Coach Gale Howard will give an overview of the program along with particulars for this season.  Rosters will be finalized by then and each coach will address their respective team.  Team fees which cover uniforms, food, and miscellaneous program expenses will be collected.  Team fees for Varsity 1 and 2 will be $169 and team fees for Junior Varsity 1 and 2 will be $106.  We will also be collecting contact information from everyone for emailing and for our text messaging system.
